MAST were appointed by Lochfield Park HA following a competitive procurement process to develop a mixed use project comprising housing, new Housing Association office and community facility on a site on Lochdochart Road, Easterhouse.

The design proposal was to locate the office on the key corner element of the site with shop front location, albeit setback from the main road frontage, creating a new public space and sense of arrival. The office itself is proposed over 2 storeys. The public and committee facilities are located on the ground floor, with open plan work and staff facilities on the first floor. The plan layout allows independent access to the upper floor as well as staff access direct to the workspaces via a secondary entrance.

The office is being designed to meet where possible the requirements of the DDA, while the external palette of materials include facing brick, render and cladding panels creating a sense of identity, as well as a degree of continuity, with the adjacent proposed housing development.
