Projects
MAST has considerable experience across a broad range of sectors and building typologies to include housing for social rent and sale, community projects such as visitor buildings and community centres, conservation projects ranging from churches, town halls, and housing to training & conference facilities.
In addition, our portfolio includes healthcare projects such as medical adaptations, hospital ward refurbishments and healthy living centres, while our experience of office projects ranges from small scale interior fit outs to multi-million pound projects, often designed to reflect a corporate image.
We have prepared a number of master plans and in all cases the final layout and development strategy have formed the basis of multi-million pound investment in the areas, over many phases of housing and other works.
We also undertake a number of other projects which can be categorized as ‘Other work’. This is the salt and pepper that adds spice to the day to day business of meeting our commitments to our clients, without whom there is no work at all.
Other work can include interpretation, at one of our visitor centres. It might involve an extension for a child’s bedroom in Cumbernauld, or fighting for years to get an accessible lift into a Listed Building.
Sometimes other work even involves persuading clients that they do not actually require any other work and that, perhaps, building is not always the answer. Sometimes it can mean a voyage into the unknown as with an architectural competition.
Other work is really no different from all our work and there is always that wonderful sense of expectation at the beginning of a new project, whatever its size.
