MAST work to establish sustainable communities
and aim to set the standard for the future: in terms
of energy use, carbon emissions, increased
insulation and affordable heating. We share the
objectives set out by our clients to provide healthy
buildings and have achieved this with breathing wall
construction, co-ordinated heating and ventilation,
and with easily understood and effective controls.
Materials and products should be selected for their
natural, healthy characteristics: low toxicity and
low embodied energy, being sourced locally where
possible.
This policy is carried forward into our working
methods. We have an ongoing office sustainability
policy that means we turn off computers, specify
green and fairtrade office products, recycle printer
cartridges and all waste paper. We have a low
emission pool car and promote a cycle to work
scheme.
Our approach to waste & environmental management
has been developed in response to Local Agenda 21
and to meet the broad aims identified in ISO 14001.
